Grade 06

Grade 6 in the English medium in Sri Lanka typically follows the national curriculum set by the Ministry of Education. The subjects taught aim to provide a well-rounded education and include the following core areas:

  1. Aesthetic Subjects
  • Art, music, dance, and drama to encourage creativity and cultural appreciation.
  1. Second Language (Sinhala or Tamil)
  • Based on the student’s primary language.
  1. Life Competencies and Citizenship Education
    • Building life skills, decision-making, and understanding citizenship responsibilities.

The medium of instruction is English, and students are encouraged to develop proficiency in both their first language and English. Assessments typically include written exams, project work, and practical activities.
